A five-year-old schoolgirl asked her mom for a lunchbox with a massive photo of her own face on it - to stop classmates from stealing her food.

Eden Richardson was asked by her mom Andrea, 31, what type of lunchbox she wanted for the start of the new school year.

Expecting the Frozen-mad child to ask for a Disney-themed bag, the mom was taken aback when her daughter demanded one with a huge picture of her own face.

Eden chose her favorite photo and Andrea ordered it to be printed on a lunch bag for $17 (£12) from Amazon.

Andrea said that her daughter’s unique choice of lunchbox has "gone down well" with both Eden’s classmates and her teachers.

Andrea, from Birmingham, UK, said: "I was asking Eden what type of lunchbox she would like for school.

"I made a few suggestions like a Frozen one, or a glittery unicorn one.

"But she just turned round and said, 'no, I'd like one with my face on, so everyone knows it’s mine and no one takes my food!'

"It wasn't what I was expecting but I was happy to go along with it.

"I got Eden to pick the photo she wanted and we ordered it that night.

"The teachers at her school can't help but laugh every time she arrives in the mornings with it on.

"The other day one of them went, 'we will definitely know whose this is at lunchtime!"
