A talented make-up artist has spent up to six hours a day transforming her face into scary Halloween illusions such as a zombie nurse and a killer clown.

Nicky Hill, 27, has wowed fans on social media with her spooktacular creations using incredible shading and contouring techniques.

Using her face as a blank canvas, the creative cosmetologist recreates incredible illusions inspired by classic Halloween characters such as Pennywise from the film IT.

She said: "Halloween is my favorite time of the year. My inner weirdo comes out and I get to get creative.

"It's always been my favorite part of the year since I was a kid, I've always liked horror films. It's just a bit of me."

"I love it when it gets towards winter and it's Halloween time."

Nicky, of Manchester, England, starts off with a photograph of the character she wants to imitate.

After carefully studying their bone structure and face shape, she then goes to work on her creation and can spend all day in front of the mirror.

She then uses shading and contouring to replicate the image on her face.

Her stunning transformations include a 'devil inside me' theme and Pennywise the clown from the  Stephen King thriller IT.

Nicky added: "I've always loved showing off the darker side of creativity.

"When you look at it and you need to look twice, it's always been a massive inspiration for me. I used to draw all the time as a kid.

"I enjoy doing makeup for other people, I love their reaction to it."

"But I love doing it on myself, I like to test myself. It takes a bit of determination and patience but I like to challenge myself."

Nicky has amassed a loyal following on social media and her illusions have been shared thousands of times.

She said: "It's nice to have that verification that you're actually good at what you do. You put your creations out there and get that good reaction from people, it's a nice feeling.

"It's one thing thinking you're good at something, it's another thing people liking it."

Nicky, who dreams of being a TV and film makeup artist, has applied for Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star to follow her dreams.
