This adorable sable is a happy pet after rescue from fur farm

This adorable sable is living his best life as a pampered pet after being rescued from a fur farm.

Buddy, a three-year-old sable, a close relative of the ferret, loves to stand on his hind legs, resembling a cute baby bear.

He was supposed to be part of a wildlife reintroduction program and set free in Barguzin Valley, Siberia.

But he was rejected as he was bred to be a size smaller than wild sable, and lacked the competitive nature of his wild counterparts.

So, he stayed with Natalia Khorosheva’s family and now seems perfectly at ease in his forever home.

Owner Natalia, originally from Russia, but now living in Paris, France, said: “Buddy stands on his hind legs in different situations.

“He loves to stand on his hind legs. He is doing that when he wants to see things closer, or when he is surprised. He does that when he is excited too.

“In most of the cases he is doing it to see what is going on better as he is very small, and his paws are short. Or maybe he is trying to imitate us.

“Buddy is a furry mischief! He likes to cause disaster and mess everywhere around. He is very curious and hyperactive and it is impossible to leave him without supervision.

"He has his own room full of toys to keep him busy.

“But at the same time he is very trusting to people he lives with, sometimes he even puts stashes in our hoods or pockets to share his food with us. This is his way to show care and trust.”
