This mesmerizing footage captures the first official run of the Train of Lights 2021 as it passes through and illuminates the countryside.

Professional photographer Scott Williams, 47, and his excited toddler daughter, waited on a bridge to see the spectacular steam train thunder past.

Footage shows the Dartmouth steam railway train COVERED front to back in Neon LED lights as it bellowed down the tracks.

Scott filmed the amazing sight in the company of his two-year-old daughter, who can be heard saying “wow” in amazement, in the background.

“This video features the Train of Lights which is operated by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company," saidScott, from Paignton, England.

“This event started in 2018 and was a big hit from the start. Obviously, last year it was unable to run due to COVID-19 so it is lovely to see it back running along our beautiful South Devon coastline between Paignton and Kingswear (Dartmouth).

“Personally, I'm a big big fan of the steam train and love to see and hear it. I also love Christmas, so this is always something I look forward to seeing every year.

“I also have a two-year-old little girl who loves the train (as you can hear in the background of the video). It really is a magical sight.

“I was also surprised to see so many people there taking in the magical sight. It is something the whole community love.

“I cannot believe the video went viral and has been seen by around three million people! It's nice to know people love the train as much as I do.”

Scott shot the footage from a railway bridge in Goodrington, Nr. Paignton, Devon, England.
