Dozens of elephants bring Indian highway to standstill

Watch the moment dozens of elephants brought an Indian highway to a standstill as they strolled across it.

The herd amused locals in the Sankrail region of the Paschim Medinipur district, in West Bengal, eastern India on November 30.

The sounds of car horns can be heard from the drivers who had their journeys halted by the gigantic beasts.

Locals standing in the road can then be seen and heard cheering and shouting as the enormous group of elephants safely made their way to the other side.
