Meet Batman — the clingy cat that wakes his owner up each morning by bringing her a different toy as a little gift.

Adorable Batman, named for his profile bearing a striking resemblance to the caped crusader, picks a stuffed toy from a box and carries it upstairs to proudly present it to owner Christine Wright.

Batman, a six-year-old Munchkin Cat, has been caught on night vision cameras carefully selecting his toy of the day before scampering up the stairs.

If Christine ever has a late night, where she stays up after her usual bedtime, Batman continues his routine - and brings the toys to her while she is still awake.

Christine, a CAD designer residing in Florida said: "Batman has his own box full of stuffed animal plush toys. Every night, he brings one upstairs to me while I am asleep. Sometimes two!

"Since we are already in bed, usually asleep, we had never caught him in the act. I set up a little home security camera near his toy box to capture his actions."

"When we first brought him home, our daughter was a bit younger and still kept many stuffed animals in her room."

"Once Batman grew big enough to climb the stairs, we started noticing stuffed animals appear randomly around the house."

"I like to think he is bringing me a gift to show his affection or wants to play fetch -yes, he fetches!"

"I usually thank him and tell him what a good boy he is. I also let the week's worth of toys remain next to my bed so that he knows I appreciate his gifts.

"At the end of the week, I return them downstairs to the box. He always brings a smile to my face.

"There has always been a lot of negative misinformation regarding the Munchkin cat breed. Many mistakenly believe that they are in pain or in poor health due to what they consider a deformity.

"The untimely passing of a couple of celebrity cats, who possessed the dwarf gene, though they were not considered munchkins, has only exasperated the stigma.

"However, when properly bred, munchkin cats are just as healthy as any other cat breed.

"I'm hoping that Batman's social media presence will shine some light and love on the munchkin breed."
