This is the viral moment - with over 26 million views - a woman in Chicago asks her two dogs which one ate her cannabis edibles after her 'MacGyver' pit bulls raided the kitchen.

Newsflash spoke to the dogs' owner, LaToya Brinson, in an exclusive interview and she said the dogs "eat any damn thing they can get their paws on".

LaToya, 43, confirmed to Newsflash that she filmed the footage after suspecting that one of her two dogs had eaten her edibles, which she also confirmed were infused with cannabis.

The two dogs, Kaoir (black spots) and Khole (brown spots), LaToya said, are two "MacGyver" pooches. She told Newsflash: "They can get in and out of everything. They watch me and when I'm not around practice. They plan when they will make their 'move'."

She also said she recorded the footage after noticing that the cannabis edibles she had bought from the shop were missing, and, suspecting the two dogs, which she said were rescues, she decided to ask them directly.

The footage shows the two dogs sitting in front of their owner, who is behind the camera and who can be heard asking them which one ate her cannabis-infused treats.

One of the dogs appears to be rather disinterested in the questioning, but the other one appears to be squinting in the video, with a haggard look on its face and vigorously wagging its tail.

In the video, LaToya can be heard asking the two dogs: "Has anybody seen my edibles? That were in my purse on the [kitchen] island?"

Someone can then be heard sniggering in the background as LaToya adds: "No, no, nope, nope."

A smoke effect added towards the end of the short clip adds to the atmosphere.

She told Newsflash: "I'm sure both ate it."

She added: "The one with the black and white spots had the munchies and ate everything. I'm sure she didn't have as much as her sister. I posted the funny video, but I was scared as hell. Khole (brown spots), she was a little sick towards the end. They both slept for six hours. Didn't one sound make them move or wake them up. Kaoir (black spots) is beyond active and hyper.

"She was quiet until she went to sleep. That was the plus. But I was scared for Khole, but at the same time she really enjoyed it. I'm sure it took the pain from her knee."

LaToya shared the footage on TikTok, where it quickly went viral. At the time of writing, the footage had over 26.5 million views and 3.7 million 'likes'.

Netizens found the footage funny, with many guessing that the culprit was the dog on the left.

One netizen, named as 'Sergio Zambrano', commented: "doggie...don't you worry about a thing...cause every little thing is gonna be alright".

Online commenter 'Sonja' wrote: "Snoop dog on the left looks guilty AF!"

While TikTok user 'Jalen Collins' added: "Nah bro on the left is OUTTA THERE".

Other netizens, however, seemed to think they both had eaten the edibles and were just reacting in different ways.

TikTok user 'Danielle Forrester' wrote: "this is a perfect example of how 2 people's reaction on Eddies [edibles] can be so different. one is happy chilling, the other is looking for way out of this."

LaToya said the dogs' "primary caretakers" are her daughter Lakiylah Mitchell, 23, and her godson, whom she named as 10-year-old Corey.

She said: "My daughter is one of the main caretakers of our dogs. Corey just plays and lay with dogs any and every chance he gets. He was too soft with them. Yes! They try to bully him. I get frustrated and I put her and dogs out every other hour! Lol! Oh yes, they have fights like regular sisters. I really think they are human at times. They have real attitudes and I know they are cursing me out at times."

LaToya said the dogs, two pit bulls, were rescues. She told Newsflash: "We rescued the dogs from being sold for breeding purposes to people who can't afford or have resources to care for them. When we first got them at 12 to 14 weeks, Khole (brown spots) had a bad eye infection and Kaoir was so timid and would make these loud screaming noises if she thinks you about to hit her. It scared the hell out of me the first time she did it.

"She doesn't do it anymore, but still timid. I think that's just going to be her personality. Currently, Khole has a birth defect, which causes her knee to pop out of socket. I'm hoping, maybe, since they are viral, I can raise money to pay for her surgery (3K) and training for both of them (5K). Without the surgery, she can't play and do the things puppies do. She also is in pain at times. She also have to lose weight, lol."

LaToya said she consulted with a vet and a doctor friend to make sure the dogs were all right. She told Newsflash: "I called the vet and my friend is a doctor (paediatrician), who was consulting me and watching their vitals. They didn't digest enough to cause damage. We was recommended to watch and let pass.

"They have never got on my island. Khole is really sneaky. If you ever heard of the saying 'dog ass bi&$h', I finally understand how it came about. Seriously!"

LaToya also warned people against getting pit bulls, unless they have the proper training and are able to handle the dogs. She said poorly trained dogs could become vicious while trying to protect themselves.
