This is the adorable moment a six-year-old boy asked his girlfriend to be his Valentine - by surprising her at her door with a single rose.

Alfie-James Ellis was recorded by this mom, Ashleigh Harrison, 25, outside his girlfriend's house in Salisbury, England.

Ashleigh, a Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) at her son's school, described how Alfie and his girlfriend Emilee, 6, have known each other since they were 1, and have been inseparable ever since.

Ashleigh said that after she explained what Valentine's Day was to her son, he immediately wanted to do something nice for Emilee.

Alfie has Special Educational Needs (SEN), but his mom emphasized that he never lets it get in the way and he always proves people wrong.

Ashleigh described him as "the most loving and affectionate child," so she is so happy that thousands of others online can see it too.

She said: "I just wanted to capture the moment and keep the memory for him to look back on when he's older.

"I put it on social media for my friends and family to see - I NEVER thought it would go viral!

"Alfie and Emilee have been calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend for a couple of years now - he absolutely adores her!

"He is the most affectionate child and just loves love.

"I love the fact that my son has touched so many hearts through social media."

The online reaction has blown Ashleigh's mind and she is thrilled to see her son having such an impact.

She said: "Alfie-James is such a happy-go-lucky child.

"His SEN means he's not as advanced as other children his age but by god he has the biggest heart!

"If this video lightens even one person's day, Alf will be so happy - all he wants to do is make people smile!"
