These stunning scenes show Switzerland turned orange thanks to Sahara dust.

Daniel P. Everett captured the pictures on March 15 while driving in an Alpine region near Lake Thun.

The dust could hit Britain on Wednesday as a result of high winds from Storm Celia.

Daniel explains: “I was just driving home to Einigen - which is located on the lake of Thun in Canton Bern, at the edge of the Bernese Oberland, when I pulled over and stopped to take these amazing shots of the orange sky.

“The mountains in the background include the famous Eiger and the Mönch.

“We experienced this about a year ago too, that time the snow was speckled with sand.”
