Devastation in Kansas after 2 tornadoes, but no injuries reported

Shocking drone photos show the aftermath of two tornadoes that wreaked havoc in Kansas on Saturday (April 23).

The aerial images show reveal utter devastation in Sharon Springs, on the western edge of the state.

Entire buildings were decimated with people's personal belongings and debris spread across the town's streets.

Factories and office buildings completely collapsed after their roofs caved in.

The National Weather Service confirmed the two tornadoes.

Sharon Springs sustained large amounts of damage to structures, but Sheriff Unruh said there were no reported injuries.

According to the Sherriff, most of the damage is on the east side of the town.

A large part of the community lost electricity when the c was hit. The ambulance barn also suffered severe damage.

Lightning in the area caused some fires out in the country, but none in town.

In a statement published on social media, Sen. Roger Marshall voiced his support for the first responders and community in Sharon Springs.

“As we saw in Sharon Springs last night, tornadoes can have devastating effects on our communities,” he said.

"So thankful for our first responders and for neighbors already helping each other out.

"We are in contact with local officials and stand ready to assist those in need."
