Artist creates diorama of Russian soldiers looting Ukrainian home
Gruesome details include a soldier urinating on a wall, empty alcohol bottles and troops stealing a radiator and dirty toilet.

An artist has painstakingly created a detailed diorama of Russian forces looting a Ukrainian home.
Modeller Tomas Upskas says his ironically-titled ‘Brothers in Arms’ piece will eventually be auctioned for charity.
Gruesome details include a soldier urinating on a wall, empty alcohol bottles and troops stealing a radiator and dirty toilet.
London-based Tomas, who is originally from Lithuania, explains: “I'm quite happy with this piece. It will go on the auction with €2000 starting bid. Every cent will be donated to support Ukraine.”
Tomas has also created a companion series of Ukrainian soldiers showing defiant middle fingers, which he explains are a “1/35 scale message to Putin from the modeller.”
One Ukrainian online commentator, Kateryna Tishchenko, wrote: “You have created figures of Russian soldiers so clearly! I'm from Irpin and we had it. Russians stole simple household items, constantly drank alcohol and left a mess in homes! Very realistic work of art.”
According to an investigation published by independent news site Mediazona, Russian soldiers sent 58 tons of parcels from the border with Ukraine in three months.
There are also reports that Russian looters have been loading Ukrainian metal products onto a Russian cargo ship in the trade port of temporarily occupied Mariupol.
Details of the diorama auction are yet to be finalized.
