WATCH: NYPD rescue man stranded at sea

The NYPD rescued a man stranded in the sea after his jet ski overturned in choppy water.

The NYPD Air Sea Rescue Team responded to a 911 call from a jet skier in distress in Jamaica Bay, Quees and arrived by helicopter to the scene.

In the video, one rescuer can be seen diving from the chopper into the water and snorkeling over to the jet skier.

Another rescuer is already there, helping the man stay afloat.

They found the man alert and conscious and together hoisted him into the helicopter.

The man was not injured but was checked out by an ambulance crew.
