It features a fox - the emblem for Leicester City Football Club - as well as a tiger for the rugby team, and an astronaut referencing The National Space Centre.

There is also a DNA sequence - a tribute to Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys, who discovered the technique of genetic fingerprinting at the University of Leicester.

It was completed by artists Wing Lo, Richard Peacock, and Leigh Drummond, assisted by Ben Edwards and Kiene Tuckley.

Leicester city center Business Improvement District - BID Leicester - and arts organization Graffwerk collaborated on the project to make the city center more attractive.
