THEY SAY “SEEING IS BELIEVING” AND NEW RESEARCH SHOWS HAVING AN ECO-FRIENDLY IMAGE IS NO EXCEPTION.

THE STUDY CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF POLESTAR FOUND YOUNGER DRIVERS ARE MUCH MORE CONCERNED WITH APPEARING ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY THAN THEIR OLDER COUNTERPARTS. 

RESULTS SHOW 12% OF GEN Z RESPONDENTS (AGES 18-24) SAY IMAGE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR WHEN CONSIDERING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE, COMPARED TO 6% OF MILLENNIALS (AGES 25-41), AND 2% OF BABY BOOMERS (AGES 57-74).

SEVENTY-ONE PERCENT OF AMERICANS BELIEVE THEMSELVES TO BE ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS, BUT 60% SAY DOING SO IS EXPENSIVE.

DESPITE 57% OF DRIVERS BEING DETERRED BY A POTENTIALLY HIGHER PRICE TAG FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES, BENEFITS SUCH AS FUEL COST SAVINGS (48%), EMISSION REDUCTION (32%) AND BETTER PERFORMANCE (30%) ARE WHAT’S ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO PURCHASE ELECTRIC VEHICLES.
