A rare "Star Wars" Lego figure is set to fetch 2K at auction — 20 years after its release.

The tiny Boba Fett figurine was originally released in 2003 as part of an expensive box set that cost fans over £100 ($121).

After poor sales, the Cloud City playset has since become a collectors' item - with the full set valued at over £3,000 ($3,653).

The Boba Fett figure is expected to bring in between £1,000- £2,000 at East Bristol Auctions on August 21.

Lucy McCourt, its Toy Specialist said: ''The two largest franchises in the world are Lego and Star Wars.

"When those fanbases combine, that’s when we see collectors getting excited.

"This Boba Fett figure was only ever available in the Cloud City set, so all the Lego collectors out there who couldn’t afford the set, now need this figure.

"Plus, he’s a Bounty Hunter, and everybody loves a baddie!"

Lucy added: "It’s incredible that this small piece of plastic is worth so much money – it goes to show how well loved both Star Wars and Lego really are.

"Collecting can be an expensive business, and there are fans all around the world who will want to add this to their collection.

"We’re expecting global interest for this little figure."
