Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos y Steve Jobs son considerados los tres empresarios modernos más influyentes, según un nuevo estudio.
La encuesta de 2,000 estadounidenses les dio a los encuestados una lista de más de 40 empresarios de los últimos 50 años y les pidió que seleccionaran cuales habían tenido el mayor impacto positivo en la sociedad.
Los encuestados eligieron a los fundadores de Microsoft, Amazon y Apple como los más influyente, seguido por Elon Musk, fundador de SpaceX, y Mark Zuckerberg, fundador de Facebook.
Después de ellos, los encuestados eligieron a Oprah Winfrey (cofundadora de Oxygen, fundadora de O, The Oprah Magazine), Melinda Gates (cofundadora de la Fundación Bill & Melinda Gates) y Sam Walton (fundador de Walmart y Sam's Club).
Larry Page (cofundador de Google) y Ted Turner (fundador de Cable News Network (CNN)) completaron la lista de los 10 empresarios más influyente .
Realizado por OnePoll en nombre de Herbalife Nutrition, también se pidió a los encuestados que hicieran una lista de los empresarios que creen que son "los mejores de todos los tiempos". Entre otros, luminarias históricas como Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell y Thomas Edison aparecieron varias veces en las respuestas de los encuestados.
El 48% de los encuestados creen que los empresarios modernos son más influyentes que sus contrapartes históricas, mientras que el 20% dijo lo contrario, creyendo que los empresarios modernos son en realidad menos influyentes.

La encuesta también se realizó en México e Israel y los resultados revelaron algunas diferencias interesantes en la forma en que los encuestados ven a los empresarios.
Un tercio de los encuestados de EE. UU. ven a los empresarios como modelos ellos pueden seguir, en comparación con el 74% de los mexicanos y el 60% de los encuestados de Israel.
Para aquellos que ven a los emprendedores como modelos, los encuestados dijeron que los logros personales del empresario (24%) y sus contribuciones a la sociedad (22%) eran lo más importante.
Para ser un empresario exitoso, los encuestados al nivel mundial dijeron que se necesitan rasgos de carácter específicos (19%), tener una gran idea (15%) y un compromiso con el trabajo duro (14%).
Cuando se les preguntó cuáles son esos rasgos de carácter específicos, los encuestados dijeron que la creatividad (31%) y la inteligencia (30%) eran los más importantes. Esto fue seguido por la confianza y la motivación (ambos 29%).
El 45% de todos los encuestados tienen sus propios objetivos para convertirse en empresarios, y el 42% creen que tienen lo que se necesita para tener éxito.
En los tres países, el 42% incluso dijo que tenía una "gran" idea que podría convertirse en un negocio exitoso, razón por la cual los encuestados piensan que tener "una" gran idea es un rasgo tan importante en un empresario exitoso.
“Si bien hay numerosos rasgos de carácter que contribuyen a hacer un empresario exitoso, con los que trabajamos, día tras día, todos tienen un tema común, demuestran un compromiso con el trabajo duro y se rodean de una comunidad de apoyo”, dijo Montesino.
