Watch firefighter rescue Florida woman trapped in submerged car after Hurricane Ian

This is the moment fire crews rescued a Florida resident stuck inside a vehicle submerged by floodwater.

The video shared by the Naples fire department shows a firefighter wading through the surging water and breaking a rear passenger-side window in order to rescue the woman.

Naples, on Florida’s southwestern coast, saw several feet of flooding, sweeping away cars and structures and washing out roads.

The Naples Police tweeted shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday that an emergency citywide curfew was in effect immediately until further notice.

Hurricane Ian, was category 4 on landfall, with 150 mph sustained winds.
