THE AVERAGE CANDIDATE TYPICALLY SPENDS FOUR HOURS APPLYING FOR A SINGLE JOB – WITH ONE IN THREE (33%) APPLICATIONS RESULTING IN AN INTERVIEW, ACCORDING TO NEW RESEARCH.

TOP STICKING POINTS INCLUDE BEING TURNED DOWN DUE TO “NO EXPERIENCE,” LENGTHY INTERVIEW PROCESSES AND A LACK OF WAGE INFORMATION UPFRONT.

THE STUDY CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF ADZUNAL POLLED 2,000 ADULTS WHO'VE SOUGHT NEW EMPLOYMENT IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS.

RESULTS SHOW THREE IN FOUR (77%) BELIEVE COMPANIES SHOULD BE MORE TRANSPARENT IN THEIR JOB POSTINGS.

MORE THAN HALF (56%) WOULDN’T ACCEPT AN INTERVIEW OFFER IF THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT COMPENSATION IS BEING OFFERED BY A PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYER.

ALSO, ROUGHLY HALF (55%) WOULD BE HAPPY FOR THEIR COLLEAGUES TO KNOW WHAT THEY EARN, ONE IN THREE (31%) ARE NEUTRAL ON THE SUBJECT, AND JUST ONE IN 10 (9%) SAYING THAT PRACTICE WOULD MAKE THEM UNHAPPY.

AND IT’S NOT JUST SALARY INFO, WORKPLACE LOCATION AND EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLANS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT TO MANY.
