THAT’S ACCORDING TO A RECENT SURVEY CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF PLENTY OF FISH.
THEY ASKED 2,000 SINGLE OR CASUALLY DATING GEN Z AND MILLENNIAL AMERICANS ABOUT MODERN ROMANCE AND GETTING TO KNOW OTHERS.
RESULTS SHOW TWO IN THREE (63%) BELIEVE BREAKING THE ICE IS THE HARDEST PART ABOUT MEETING NEW PEOPLE.
THE STUDY ALSO REVEALED THAT THREE IN FIVE (60%) ARE MORE LIKELY TO RESPOND TO A FIRST MESSAGE FROM A POTENTIAL DATE IF IT’S FUNNY OR CLEVER.
THREE IN FOUR SAY A SHARED SENSE OF HUMOR IS EVEN CONSIDERED A TURN-ON.
RESPONDENTS SAY IT'S EASIEST TO FLIRT WITH OTHERS BY TEXTING (40%) OR MEETING IN PERSON (37%), RATHER THAN FACETIMING (12%) AND PHONE CALLS (11%).
