TWO IN THREE AMERICANS CREDIT THE PAST TWO YEARS WITH TEACHING THEM TO VALUE THEIR HEALTH.

{VO}

THAT’S ACCORDING TO A POLL OF 2,000 U.S. ADULTS 30 AND OLDER CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF NUTRISYSTEM.

THE STUDY ASKED RESPONDENTS HOW THEIR CURRENT HEALTH HABITS AND GOALS COMPARE TO THE ONES THEY HAD PRE-PANDEMIC.

SINCE MARCH 2020, TWO IN THREE (64%) ADMIT THEIR PHYSICAL HEALTH HAS BEEN AFFECTED AND HALF OF ALL RESPONDENTS SAY THEY’VE GAINED WEIGHT IN THE PAST TWO YEARS. OF THEM, 52% HAVE GAINED BETWEEN 9 AND 20 POUNDS.

RESULTS ALSO SHOW TWO IN THREE (64%) ARE MOTIVATED TO LOSE WEIGHT BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT HAS AN IMPACT ON THEIR IMMUNITY.

ABOUT SIX IN 10 (61%) ALSO NOW REALIZE THAT A HEALTHY DIET AND LIFESTYLE CAN BETTER PROTECT THEIR LONG-TERM HEALTH.

Survey methodology:

This random double-opt-in survey of 2,002 Americans aged 30+ was commissioned by Nutrisystem between September 16 and September 27, 2022. It was conducted by market research company OnePoll, whose team members are members of the Market Research Society and have corporate membership to the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR).
