A man miraculously saved the lives of four people after he took a wrong turn and accidentally drove down their street - to find the house consumed by fire.

Doorbell camera footage captures the moment Brendan Birt approaches the home which is ablaze.

Birt phoned 911 and started banging on windows before the three siblings, Kindred, Spirit and Chris came flying through the door - followed by their older brother Bryce.

The boy's mother, Tender Lehman, was in another state at the time dealing with a family emergency, while her husband was working at the time.

Tender, from Red Oak, Iowa, USA, described Birt being there as a miracle and drove back to the house as quickly as she could.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but despite being no human fatalities, the family's dogs did pass away.
