Meet the woman who creates funny Christmas cards with a fake family by dressing up and playing all the characters herself.

Brynn Shuller, 32, had the idea of creating a creepy family in October 2015.

She put together her first card - a '90s-style photoshoot - and surprised her family with it at Christmas in 2015.

Her family loved it so much that she decided to make it an annual tradition and she has now been making the cards featuring the fake dysfunctional family - who she calls the Brynn's- for eight years.

This year Brynn has decided to take a themed photo each month to compile a calendar for 2023.

Brynn, a graphic designer, from Cincinnati, Ohio, said: "I just saw this costume chest hair and it just gave me an idea.

"It was really random, but it seemed fun to play characters of an awkward family and photoshop it together.

"I wasn't expecting my family to love it quite so much and now lots of people love my cards.

"I go to different locations and dress up in the different costumes to take photos and make the cards.

"It's hilarious."

Brynn already had a passion for creating fun photoshopped images when the idea to create the quirky family photos came to her in October 2015.

"I had already been photoshopping my face into movie posters," she said.

"After seeing the funny chest hair, I started planning my family.

"Byron, the dad, is awkward and always excited and happy.

"Brynnda, the mom, is always trying to make everyone happy but she is probably aggravated on the inside

"Brynnie, the daughter, is so young and happy go lucky.

"Frank, the teenage son, is an outcast and is always grumpy and never enjoys the family photos."

The cards take Brynn a few weeks to plan, two hours to shoot and four to six hours to edit.

She goes to the different locations to take the photos and then combines them all together.

"My favorites have been Disneyland," she said.

"I did a photo on a log flume, and I had to keep queuing with the different costumes on to get the next snap.

"It was so much fun."

Brynn has also trekked two hours to get to the perfect spot to create her family fishing trip card.

"I even fell in the water," she said.

"It can be hard to find men's clothes that fit me so it takes a few weeks of planning and ordering to get everything together."

This year she is taking the Brynn's card one step further and creating a 2023 calendar by compiling photos from each month of the year.

"I'm spending this year taking a photo for the month that will go into the calendar," she said.

"So far I have done up to October and am planning my November one.

"I plan for December to be a snowy one.

"It's so much fun creating the cards and playing the characters.

"I love it."

Brynn's calendar photo themes:
January - New Year
February - Valentine's Day
March - Spring break
April - April showers
May - Star Wars theme
June - Boating holiday pic
July - Campfire scene
August - Birthday party at the pool for Brynn's birthday month
September - Renaissance costumes
October - Halloween
November - Her followers are deciding on Thanksgiving or a sports league theme
December - Snow and Christmas theme
