Majestic deer galloping through field falls flat on its antlers

This video shows a deer majestically galloping through a field before falling flat on its face while trying to clear a roadside fence.

Landscape gardener Jacob Benson, 23, was heading into town to get some supplies for a weekend of hunting when he saw the animal.

Footage filmed in Craig in Colorado shows the initially serene animal bouncing along the landscape before taking a tumble.

The deer is seen leaping at an oblique angle but catches its hooves on the top of the fence.

It ends up going face-first into the banking, but shakes it off and returns back to the field after it is able to jump back over the fence.

Benson is heard saying in shock: "Oh my god, I got that on video!"

He added: "When this happened, I was worried, stunned, and appalled. It was very wild to catch on camera."

The video was filmed on December 5.
