NEW YEAR, OLD STUFF: MOST AMERICANS ADMIT THEIR HOMES ARE FILLED WITH SECOND HAND ITEMS.

A RECENT SURVEY SHOWS A WHOPPING 92% HAVE SHOPPED AT SECOND-HAND, THRIFT OR RESALE SHOPS.

A THIRD (33%) EVEN BELIEVE THEY ARE THE “MOST FUN” STORES TO SHOP. 

CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF RESALE COMPANY WINMARK, SURVEY RESULTS SHOW 39% WILL PART WITH ONE OF THEIR BELONGINGS IF THEY BELIEVE “SOMEONE ELSE WILL ENJOY IT MORE” THAN THEY CURRENTLY DO.

Survey methodology:

This random double-opt-in survey of 2,004 general population Americans was commissioned by Winmark between November 7 and November 10, 2022. It was conducted by market research company OnePoll, whose team members are members of the Market Research Society and have corporate membership to the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR).
