Severe storms ripped through Oklahoma, wreaking havoc with gusts up to 90 MPH - and at least one tornado.

Videos show damage from the tornado near the intersection of Classen Boulevard and State Highway 9 in Norman, a suburb of Oklahoma City, on Sunday night.

Downed power lines can also be seen alongside the road.

The National Weather Service office in Norman warned residents at about 9:25 p.m. Sunday to seek shelter from a confirmed tornado.

“To those who are asking: 'We are okay and continuing to operate from our shelter-quality office,'” NWS Norman tweeted.

“We believe a tornado just passed by just to our south in southeast Norman.”

According to the City of Norman, 12 non-critical injuries were reported and there were no fatalities.

Norman Police chief Kevin Foster said that multiple homes and structures were damaged, and many roads were still closed due to downed trees and power lines.
