A man found his Amazon packages floating in his pool after a delivery driver threw the items over the garden wall.

Actor Richmond Staunton Keeling was stunned to return home one evening to find the two packages - containing blankets - bobbing about in the pool.

Video shows Richmond using a pool cleaning net to retrieve the floating order from the water.

After retrieving the wet boxes, he takes them straight to his laundry room where he runs them through the washer and dryer.

Richmond, who lives in Los Angeles, California, revealed delivery drivers leave packages on top of the wall - or throw them over.

But he said: "The downside to throwing it over the wall is, there's a pool here, my package is in the pool."

Richmond added: "I was tired and wanted to go to bed, and wanted to grab the blankets I had ordered to be warm.

"But I couldn't find my delivered packages until I looked over into the pool.

"I honestly found it funny and it didn't anger me as a lot of people in the comments assumed it would have."

Richmond confirmed that the goods were not damaged and that he has not requested any kind of compensation from Amazon.
