NEARLY TWO IN THREE (62%) AMERICAN WOMEN HAVEN’T GOTTEN A PELVIC EXAM WITHIN THE PAST YEAR, NEW RESEARCH SHOWS.

THAT COULD BE AN ISSUE, AS MORE THAN ONE IN THREE (39%) HAVE EXPERIENCED PELVIC FLOOR ISSUES.

THE SURVEY BY INTIMINA AND ONEPOLL ASKED 2,000 WOMEN ABOUT MAINTAINING HEALTH AND WELLNESS AS THEY AGE.

WOMEN REPORTED WANTING TO STRENGTHEN THEIR WAIST (43%), HIPS (42%) AND SHOULDERS (27%). RESULTS SHOW SOME OF THE LESSER-CONSIDERED BODY PARTS INCLUDE GLUTES OR THE PELVIC FLOOR.

EXPERTS SAY THOUGH OFTEN OVERLOOKED, DAILY PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISES CAN HELP PREVENT LEAKS, ENHANCE INTIMACY, AND IMPROVE OVERALL HEALTH.

HOWEVER, WOMEN MAY STRUGGLE TO PUT THIS ADVICE INTO ACTION SINCE TWO IN THREE (62%) ARE NOT CONFIDENT THEY KNOW HOW TO DO PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISES, LIKE KEGELS, CORRECTLY.

Survey methodology:

This random double-opt-in survey of 2,000 women was commissioned by Intimina between Feb. 6 and Feb. 7, 2023. It was conducted by market research company OnePoll, whose team members are members of the Market Research Society and have corporate membership to the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR).
