A ballet teacher recreates iconic dance routines from movies - and the results are really impressive.

Pierre-Émile Lemieux-Venne, 26, has been dancing since he was eight-years-old after being inspired by his sisters, and hopes his clips inspire other men to dance.

He has recreated classic scenes from movies such as "Dirty Dancing," "Aladdin" and "Hercules" – dancing in front of his TV while the original plays.

Pierre-Émile has now recreated 140 dances such as the "Teletubbies," "Chicago," "Matilda" and "Wednesday" - and gets into costume for each one.

His clips have racked up 20.7m likes.

Pierre-Émile hopes the recreations will inspire more people to dance and loves to watch fans try out the routines.

The professional dancer spent nine years training classical ballet from 10-years-old before landing a job at a dance company in Mulhouse, France.

Pierre-Émile, a professional dancer and choreographer, originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, said: “I’ve been dancing since I was eight-years-old.

“I fell in love with the musicality and movement not just the ballet technique.

“I really love it.

“I started the TikTok in 2020 and just thought ‘why not do some dancing.'

“The first one that got popular was the Aladdin one.

“I was surprised.

“I continued with the concept of dancing in front of the TV.

“'Dirty Dancing' was really fun.

“Hercules was too.

“I have too many clothes now.”

Pierre-Émile spends the morning studying a dance with his “brain first” before trying it out and filming it.

Although he says he has more female followers than men he hopes he can still inspire them to get into dance.

Pierre-Émile said: “I hope to inspire some guys to dance.

“Even in dance school there are way more girls versus boys.

“More and more dance is becoming a sport.”

Pierre-Émile asks his followers what they want him to dance and posts a video once a week to his 772.4k followers.

He said: “Some followers will do the routines.

“It’s really fun to see.

“I saw a mum with a three-year-old doing one.”

Pierre-Émile said it would be a dream to dance or choreograph a film or TV sequence and hopes to “shift into choreography” later in his career.

He said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to be a character in a movie or TV show.

“Doing this is feels like I’m fulfilling it.”
