THE AVERAGE AMERICAN FEELS INSECURE FIVE TIMES A DAY, ACCORDING TO NEW RESEARCH.

THE SURVEY OF 2,000 PEOPLE CONDUCTED BY ONEPOLL ON BEHALF OF CURAD ALSO FOUND THERE'S SOME TRUTH TO FAKE IT ‘TIL YOU MAKE IT.

IN FACT, 55% WHO HAVE FAKED CONFIDENCE BEFORE SAY IT ACTUALLY DID THE TRICK.

RESULTS ALSO SHOW A THIRD OF RESPONDENTS (32%) “OFTEN” OR “ALWAYS” FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO “FAKE IT” TO FEEL MORE CONFIDENT.

MORE THAN ONE IN THREE (37%) CARED MORE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES’ OPINIONS OF THEM WHEN THEY WERE YOUNGER, BUT NEARLY HALF (46%) SAY THEIR OPINION OF THEMSELVES MATTERS MORE NOW.

MOST ADMIRABLE TRAITS IN CONFIDENT PEOPLE ACCORDING TO RESPONDENTS

  • Knowledgeable — 50%
  • Kind — 40%
  • Decisive — 39%
  • Authoritative — 37%
  • Fearless — 36%

Survey methodology:
