SEE IT: 11-foot, 1,200-pound alligator rescued on residential road

An alligator believed to be at least 11 feet and 1,200 pounds was rescued on a residential road after being spotted by locals.

The gator was seen by a concerned resident walking down a road in Missouri City, Texas.

Police were soon notified and dispatched a specialist alligator wrangler, who is seen in the video rounding up the huge reptile.

Timothy DeRamus was tasked with bringing the gator to safety and peace to the neighborhood of Quail Valley Thunderbird.

He is seen approaching the alligator and managing to cover its head with a bag.

The huge animal was too heavy for DeRasmus to carry on his own so he called in for assistance.

Eventually, a colleague arrived with a pickup truck and a hook that was able to lift the weight of the huge reptile that was estimated to be 11-foot-long and 1,200 lbs.

Shocking footage shows the distressed animal jerking as it's tied up and attached to the pickup truck's hook.

The gator nuisance crew finally managed to get the animal on the truck bed and take it away.

The footage was captured on May 21.
