Man spends $300K to become Barbie but now looks like Ken

A man who spent $300,000 to become a real-life Barbie doll is now de-transitioning to "live as Ken."

Oli London, 33, spent $300,000 on 32 cosmetic surgeries and procedures - including "cat eye surgery" to look like idol Barbie, he said.

And he eventually came out as trans and lived as a Rose London for six months.

But Oli, from Hertford, Hertfordshire, decided to de-transition and identifies as a cisgender man.

He said he regrets some of the cosmetic surgery which he had to make himself look more feminine and is now "living as Ken", he said.

"I have changed my face so much I am pretty much paralyzed with facial muscle movements," he said.

"I have six titanium brackets with 24 screws inside my chin and cheeks holding the bones together so sometimes I get jaw lock when I yawn and it’s really painful.

"I regret a lot of it but I am happy with my Ken look and small nose and eyes."

His best friend Aliia Roza, 37, even styles herself as a real-life Barbie, he says, and the pair love going out dressed as the doll and Ken.

Internet personality and author Oli said: "Last year I was living as a Barbie after I came out as trans but now I am back to living as Ken since de-transitioning and becoming a man again.

"I previously spent $300,000 plus on 32 plastic surgery procedures to obtain my doll like look.

"Aliia has spent millions over the years to live her life as a real Barbie.

"We both attended the Cannes Film Festival last year as Barbies.

"But this year, since I de-transitioned to become a man again, we are like Barbie and Ken and had custom-made matching outfits which we wear for red carpets at Cannes Film Festival and Venice Film Festival and any other special events.

"When I transitioned to being a woman I had all of this praise and love but something was missing inside.

“I thought all my personal struggles were because of my gender identity, but then I realized it wasn’t.

“I had some therapy and went to church.

“Doing all this surgery doesn’t make me happy.

Oli had his first surgery when he was 23 in Korea to change his nose shape.

“I needed to strip it back and realized I can still feel like a Ken doll without doing harmful stuff."

He continued to have regular cosmetic surgery, including six nose jobs, jaw surgery, and even eye surgery to make his eyes more feminine.

He has had three in the U.S., a 6th nose job and nipple correction surgery.

He has had 15 in Turkey - an anterior hairline lowering, forehead shaving, eye socket shaving, a "cat" eye lift, a face lift, a neck lift, chin shaving, a lip lift, fat removal surgery, a second face lift, a second brow lift, a second forehead lift, a second eye surgery and two sets of veneers put in.

In Armenia has had male breast reduction surgery, areola surgery, and a nose job and in both Poland and China he has had two separate nose jobs.

In Korea he has had two more nose jobs, more chin shaving surgery, cheek bone reduction surgery, jaw contouring surgery, and brow surgery.

Oli came out publicly as trans in April 2022 after coming out privately to his friends in December 2020.

And in mid 2022 he announced he was a gender fluid trans woman, styled on Barbie.

"When I was Barbie I lived a glamorous lifestyle," Oli said.

"I was jet setting and always travelling to red carpet events and sat at the front row at fashion weeks.

"I went to exclusive parties always in heavy makeup, hair extensions and Barbie style gowns - always wearing pink - I acted like a ditzy blonde."

He said he was drawn to styling himself as Barbie because she is "timeless" and added: "She’s the ideal woman really.

“She’s blonde and she’s beautiful and Ken is the perfect boyfriend to Barbie.

“They’re both great role models for people, even though they're both plastic!

“They don’t swear, and have good hearts."

In October 2022, he said he decided to revert back to identifying as a cisgender man.

Oli said: “I lost a lot of my friends after I de-transitioned.

“Lots of them thought I was transphobic for doing so, which is absolutely not the case.

“I just want every person to live authentically and be true to themselves.”

Oli now lives as Ken, he says, and this includes him continually bleaching his hair, doing his makeup, having special Ken-style outfits made as well as having "constant facials" to help him have "a Ken doll like glow."

Oli and Aliia have been best friends since 2018 after he started work as her personal shopper, he said, helping her find “the most beautiful stuff.”

“She was always so sweet and loving and kind,” Oli said.

“We do everything together.”

They are meeting up in LA soon where they will both dress as Ken and Barbie.
