Man buys three tickets to fly beloved Great Dane across country

The owner couldn't be without his with his five-year-old Great Dane named Darwin.

A man left passengers "gobsmacked" after he boarded a cross-country flight with his huge - Great Dane.

The owner had to pay for three seats - including his - so he could get the massive pooch to fit properly on the flight.

Owner Gabriel Bogner, 27, was traveling from Los Angeles to New York City with his beloved Great Dane Darwin, five.

Footage shows Darwin boarding the flight, taking a look in the cockpit and even saying hello to people in the row in front.

Gabriel, a start-up founder, was moving from LAX to New York's La Guardia and said this was Darwin's first time flying.

Gabriel said: "People were absolutely gob-smacked and shocked but everyone was so excited to see her.

"I’ve never seen so many smiling at an airport

"This was rare. It was her first time flying.

"There were no issues, she was great and the entire crew was amazing.

"They did joke that she got an upgrade and I didn’t, but it was a very smooth trip."
