Boyfriend always wears t-shirt with pictures of his girlfriend’s face

A woman who gave her boyfriend a t-shirt with pictures of her face on it for their anniversary says he wears it "everywhere."

Kenzie Greene, 19, surprised her boyfriend, Joseph Burrows, 21, with the quirky gift for their two-year anniversary.

She captured his reaction as he opened the custom bootleg inspired t-shirt - covered in pictures of her holding fish, with her name emblazoned at the top.

Joseph is passionate about fishing and Kenzie says he "loves it" when she joins him, so she knew he'd be a fan of the design.

Kenzie says she didn't think Joseph would wear it all that often, but to her surprise he wears it "all the time."

After wearing it "every day" on their vacation to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, in July 2023, Kenzie says he even donned it for a visit to her parents' house, leaving her mom in hysterics.

Kenzie, a social media coordinator, from Maryville, Tennessee, said: "I thought he'd have a good reaction, but I was very pleasantly surprised that he had that good of a reaction.

"I didn't think he'd wear it in public, but he wore it every day when we went on vacation on the beach and now, he wears it all the time.

"He's a shy person in general so it's very funny that he wears it - it gets a reaction every time he puts it on.

"But he thinks it awesome when we go fishing together so I knew he'd like it."

After returning from their vacation, Joseph decided to surprise Kenzie's family with his new t-shirt.

Kenzie said: "I got the idea to film it as he called me to say he was coming over.

"I thought I'd video just in case they had a reaction when they walked in and they absolutely loved it, especially my mom.

"I think my dad just didn't want my mom to get him one."

The t-shirt seems to have been a hit with Joseph's family too, with Kenzie saying his family think it's "hilarious."

She added: "Everyone who sees it think it's hysterical.

"If you don't look too closely at it, it just looks normal t-shirt too which is really cool."

Joseph, a law firm runner, added: "I was so shocked when I saw it and when I realized really what it was, I thought it was awesome.

"I love it- I think it’s hilarious and I think it’s so funny she chose all fish pictures.

"I wear it every night before bed and sometimes I’ll throw it on just for fun.

"My family were very confused at first, but when they realized it was Kenzie’s pictures they thought it was hilarious.

"I definitely feel some pressure on future presents but now I realize anything is up for grabs gift giving wise and her birthday is coming up soon so my face may or may not be on the gift!"
