Couple announces engagement with banner on rollercoaster

A thrill-seeking couple announced their engagement - by holding up a banner on a rollercoaster.
Lianne Rice, 42, and her partner, Jasmine Bujok, 32, decided it would be a fun way to share their plans to wed with their friends and family.
The pair headed to Thorpe Park, in Chertsey, Surrey, on May 20 and hopped on their favourite rollercoaster - Stealth.
A camera captures photos of people on the ride - that can be purchased at the end - so Lianne and Jasmine held up a sign that read: 'We're getting married'.
The couple then bought the picture and sent it to their loved ones - who were over the moon.
The ride - that reaches 80mph in 1.8 seconds while climbing 105ft - is the fastest in the UK, and the couple went on it three times to get a photo they were happy with.
Lianne, a sales assistant, from Brighton, East Sussex, said: "It was amazing.
"It was so funny, and a bit of a mission.
"It's extremely difficult to hold a banner at 80 miles per hour.
"We just had to pull it really tight between us and cling on for dear life.
"Everyone was over the moon for us but not surprised that we announced it like this.
"I still can't believe we pulled it off."
Jasmine - who works in a care home - and Lianne had been friends for years and became a couple in February 2023.
They made a snap decision to get married as they walked past their local registry office at the start of May and booked their big day for September 20.
They made the three-foot long, four-inch high, banner from a pillow case and black marker pen.
They pulled it tight between them as the ride started.
They unfurled their banner on other theme park rides too, including Swarm, also at Thorpe Park.
Lianne said: "We both knew we'd get married as soon as we got together - we both wanted the same thing.
"We're so alike, we're one of those true love stories of best friends who fall in love with each other.
"We're always on the same wavelength. I can't even remember who said 'let's get married' first."
