A photographer captured a dolphin leaping out of Scottish waters this week.
Dod Morrison was overjoyed to time his shot to catch the mammal as it launched out of the sea at the mouth of Aberdeen Harbor on Monday, June 24.
He says: "The dolphins often hang around there and are quite far out as they fish around that area.
"Often, it is only fins you see, and when they do jump, you mainly get part of the body coming out or going back into the water.
"You can take hundreds of shots just trying to get one picture where all of the body is out of the water.
"After a few hours I got one and was ecstatic with the result which made my day."
