Princess Leia's iconic - and controversial - Star Wars slave outfit is up for auction.

Appearing in 1985's "Return of the Jedi", the eye-catching costume will be offered with a starting price of $30,000.

Dallas-based Heritage Auctions will list 600 lots, including movie props, as part of their Hollywood/Entertainment event this month.

Other highlights include a Y-Wing starfighter, used in the 1977 debut of the Star Wars franchise, "A New Hope". The screen-featured model's price starts at $300,000.

Last year, a film-matched X-wing starfighter from Star Wars realized $3,135,000 in a Heritage Auctions sale.

Also offered is a helmet worn by actor Pedro Pascal from the hit TV series, "The Mandalorian", which will start at $20,000.

While Thor's hammer also goes under the hammer. The prop from the 2013 Marvel film "Thor: The Dark World" sees bidding starting at $17,500.

Joe Maddalena, Heritage Auctions Executive Vice President, says: "As Heritage has done time and again, we’re bringing together some of the most important cultural artifacts that have never before been in a single place.

"When you do that, you immediately, instinctively recognize the importance and influence of these science-fiction films and television shows — how they’ve shaped how we look at and think about the world and beyond."

The Heritage Auctions sale will end on July 26.
