Asparagus fortune-teller predicts Kamala Harris will be president

An asparagus-chucking fortune-teller who foresaw Brexit and the Queen’s death eerily predicted the US would have a female president this year.

Jemima Packington is the world's only asparamancer and claims to peer into the future by tossing spears in the air and interpreting how they land.

She previously accurately predicted Brexit, the Queen’s death, Covid fall-out and the Harry and Meghan storm engulfing the royals.

But her most striking prediction yet appears to be coming true after she foresaw the US electing its first female president in 2024.

She made the claim in January, while Joe Biden was still confident of leading the Democrats into November's election.

Despite seemingly far-fetched, the prediction took a step closer to becoming a reality after Joe Biden quit the presidential race on Sunday.

The 81-year-old president – along with increasing numbers of powerful Democrats - endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to run instead.

If she beats Republican candidate Donald Trump, Harris would become the first female president to win the White House.

She would also make history as the first person of South Asian descent to be president.

Jemima says she reads the shapes of the asparagus spears as they land and boasts and impressive 70-95 percent accuracy rate.

Asked during an interview on Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show if Biden or Trump would win the Presidential election, she said: “I can tell you it’s neither of them.”

She added: “It’s a lady. Now, I keep on getting this. The next president of the United States is going to be a lady.”

Jemima, from Bath, Somerset, was repeating her earlier prediction she made in January this year.

She also predicted “unprecedented regime change” around the world, a royal divorce and Olympic success for Team GB.

Arguably Jemima’s 2024 political predictions are proving accurate after she appeared to foresee the return of Nigel Farage to frontline politics.

The Reform UK leader finally became an MP at the eighth attempt when he was elected to represent Clacton at the General Election.

Despite her many accurate predictions, some of her tips have fallen short.

She incorrectly tipped England’s Lionesses to win the football World Cup when they lost 1-0 to Spain in a heartbreaking final last August.

She also predicted England would triumph at this summer’s Euros but they were beaten by Spain 2-1 in the final.

Jemima began making predictions as a child after inheriting the gift from her aunt who used to read tea leaves.

She said: "My technique has not changed and I still cast the asparagus spears and interpret the patterns in them.

“Seeing the patterns for me is instantaneous, possibly that is because I’ve had years of practice.

"I am usually about 75-90 percent accurate with my predictions. I go through my predictions each year and think: 'Yep, that's happened, yep, that's happened.'

"Occasionally I get one slightly off, where I haven't quite read it correctly, but I'm never far off.

“I predicted Boris Johnson would become Prime Minister before he did and everyone laughed their socks off."

She picks a handful of tips, tosses them into the air and "reads" the shapes they form when they land.

Jemima said she saw the spears of the veg form the shape of a broken crown just months before the Queen died on Sept. 8, 2022.

She said: “The spears formed a broken crown which indicated to me that there would be a great royal sadness.”

Jemima’s 2024 predictions:

1. Regime change will take place throughout the world, on an unprecedented scale, often where least expected.
2. There will be separations and divorces among members of the Royal Family.
3. The culture of “celebrity” will be on the wane, with people losing interest in their antics.
4. The 2024 Olympic Games will not be a resounding success for Team GB.
5. The events in the Middle East will reach a breaking point.
6. Eco-warriors in the UK will lose support. No more holding up traffic or supergluing to infrastructure.
7. England FA will appoint more female referees to officiate at all-male team matches.
8. There will be a shake-up within the UK education system.
9. Deaths among world leaders will occur and the United States will see its first female president.
10. Mental health and well-being will continue to be an important factor worldwide - this will no longer carry the stigma of old.
