A man built a Hot Wheels race track that stretches more than 250ft through a local forest.

Mikael Jangentorp, 35, spent over a month working on the project, which was inspired by a Hot Wheels car his son received as a gift.

Mikael used a plastic sheet to create the rails, straps, ropes and tracks to create the mini-rollercoaster.

The track, which measures a total of 262 feet (80m), has the model car whizzing along branches of trees and through foliage and even features several tunnels.

Mikael, a nurse from Kristinehamn, Sweden, said: "In January, my three-year-old got his first Hot Wheels track set from my brother.

"I started searching for different Hot Wheels sets and pieces and stumbled upon the Hot Wheels Zoom In car, which you can attach a GoPro to.

"After that, my mind started to create tracks everywhere and finally in the little small forest grove next to my house.

"I created rails from a plastic sheet I painted green.

"Some of the parts were 3D-printed and custom-made and I also used tunnels from different BRIO train sets."
