The owner of an 880-year-old bed and breakfast has gone viral with a hilarious Gen Z ad - after her daughter stepped in to help.

Fyfield Manor posted a video with the caption: "When you ask your Gen z daughter to write the marketing script."

The video features owner Christine Brown giving a tour of the manor using youth terms like 'slay' and 'zen',

The video has since been viewed 10.9m times.

Owner Christine Brown, who stars in the video for the bnb near Wallingford in Oxfordshire, says all the credit must go to her daughter, Frannie, 26.

Christine said: "The team is my daughter, she did it on her phone and I was just told what to say!

"All I said to Frannie was, what whatever you're telling me to say, it mustn't be rude or unkind.

"I did know the meaning of demure, but not the rest!

"I thought Gen Z was a rapper! I said to Frannie, 'What, am I going to have to rap!

"Apparently I'm now a brand - but I'm not sure what I'm branding?"

Frannie, who admits she wrote the script in five minutes, took inspiration from other tiktoks she has spotted on social media.

After writing the piece and showing it to her friend first for approval, the mother and daughter duo decided to 'give it a go' and filmed on the weekend - which took them a total of 20 minutes.

In the hilarious video, Christine describes the Georgian Panel room, one of three in the Manor available for guests, as having 'understood the assignment' and describes the medieval dining room as a space with 'so much rizz'.

Whilst sat downstairs in front of a large pane of Victorian windows, Christine explains how the features 'let in a lot of light' which is 'very considerate, very mindful, very demure'.

In the final video segment, Christine explains how Fyfield Manor is the perfect place for anyone - whether they 'need to recover from a brat summer or a menty b (mental breakdown)'.

Christine said: "It was fun, there was not a lot of effort, no money in it - and it was spontaneous!"

Frannie, who works as a musician, helps with the BnB and a nursery two days a week, lives on the top floor of the Manor.

The property was purchased by Christine's husband in the late 70s - and its stature was very different to how it appears today, she explains.

"It was completely derelict", said Frannie.

"There were no floors, the windows were broke, no electricity, no running water.

"It was considered uninhabitable."

Christine said their family camped out there for three years whilst doing renovation, and she decided to let it out as a BnB after housing a family who loved their stay.

The money she then made from visitor stays went into the continual renovation of the property.

The Manor has three different rooms with differing styles: a Victorian room, an old nursery and an 18th century panel room.
