A mini mogul has earned £1,500 (nearly $2,000)in just two months after starting his own confetti business - aged SIX.

Ezra Stevens, six, dries flower petals to make confetti and got the idea to launch his business venture after helping his dad and stepmom make confetti for their wedding.

He sells bags of the petals on Facebook under the supervision of his dad, Nathan Burns, 27, and stepmom Catherine, 23, a vet student.

Ezra uses flowers he's found or buys them in bunches, takes off the petals and dries them in the oven.

He sells 40 adult palm fulls into two large paper bags for £15 or 40 palm fulls in 40 separate little bags for £25.

So far the youngster's taken over 113 orders in the last two months - bringing in a total of £1,500, his dad says.

After costs of the bought flowers, postage and packing, and paying £100 for electricity, the little lad has earned £750 profit since the start of September.

Nature-loving Ezra banks most of the money and spends some on science equipment and books.

He loves the outdoors, animals, and working on the allotment he shares with his mom, Kirsty Stevens, 27, a teaching assistant.

Nathan, an education consultant, from Nottingham, East Midlands, said: "It's amazing.

"We're all extremely proud of him and glad he's getting so much from it.

"He's very dedicated to everything he does - he takes a bag everywhere he goes for collecting flowers.

"He's brilliant, he loves every part of the process.

"He's so careful with the petals and he even tidies up after himself.

"He's very excited about the pocket money.

"He's a proper little businessman.

"He adores it and makes confetti every day.

"He buys books and science kit because he's really into learning."

Ezra got the idea because he helped Nathan and Catherine make confetti for their wedding on August 24.

He sells his confetti from his Facebook page and has been invited to attend a future wedding fayre.

He's also approached wedding planners and venues in a bid to get on their recommended-suppliers lists.

Ezra's current goal is to bank lot of money and make plans for what he'd like to spend it on.

Nathan said: "When we were making the confetti for the wedding Ezra just got really into it.

"He really enjoyed peeling the petals from the flowers and monitoring their time in the oven.

"We had some left over which we offered on a local Facebook group and it was really popular.

"Ezra really wanted to keep making it so he started selling it on Facebook.

"It's been really successful and he loves doing it so it just feels like a lucky break for him."
