Winners of International Landscape Photographer of the Year competition

The winners of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year competition have been announced.

The top honor - Landscape Photographer of the Year - went to Andrew Mielzynski from Canada.

Organizers say there were over 3600 entries from around the world, vying to win categories that included Best Photograph of the Year and Aerial Award.

Peter Eastway, Chairman of Judges, said:

"Whether you’re actually out in the landscape or exploring the world through your imagination, great landscape photography requires a great deal of patience – patience for the right season, the right weather and the right light. It also takes perseverance because rarely will the season, weather and light work together in ways that inspire us."

Second Place: Ignacio Palacios, Australia
Third Place: Gheorghe Popa, Romania

Photograph of the Year: Ryohei Irie, Japan
Second Place: Justinus Sukotjo, Indonesia
Third Place: Himadri Bhuyan, India
