A little girl called Éowyn is celebrating her sixth birthday - as Storm Éowyn hits the UK.

Éowyn Lacey-Webb says she is excited to have her big day when the weather event sweeps in.

According to her mom Sabrina Lacey, Éowyn spent her sixth birthday morning enjoying the winds playing with her hair.

But she was disappointed that there was no snow.

Éowyn from Swindon in Wiltshire even painted her own picture of the storm she shares her name with.

Mom said: "I am a fan of the author Eowyn Ivey which is how we agreed to name our daughter Éowyn."

Her Storm Éowyn painting features several colorful happy clouds and a smiling snail in the corner.

The name Éowyn, made famous by a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy series 'The Lord of the Rings', is of Old English origin according to UK Baby Names.

Éo is believed to mean horse, with wyn meaning friend or joy.
