There was no use crying over it when a truckload of milk spilled onto a highway.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) was called to an unusual - and messy - accident on Wednesday (29 Jan).

They found the haulage vehicle's trailer crashed onto a roadside barrier at Lake Worth Beach, Florida, having spilled its load of milk cartons.

Thankfully, no one was injured but crews were left with a significant clean-up operation.

PBCFR shared their tongue-in-cheek report of the incident: "A milk truck had an 'udderly' unfortunate crash on I-95 last night just after midnight. 11 people were evaluated on scene. Thankfully they were uninjured and none of them needed to be 'moo-ved' to the hospital.

"We calculated that 4,160 gallons of milk were spilled across the northbound lanes at MM63! It took almost 3 hours to clean up after this 'Cream-mergency!'

"All puns aside, we are glad that nobody was hurt, and the roadway was ready for this morning's commute."
