They must have really liked the Facebook founder's fashion sense.

One of Mark Zuckerberg’s favorite hoodies and JFK's boxer shorts have sold at auction.

They featured in the Julien’s Auctions' 'Spotlight: History And Technology' sale in Los Angeles on Thursday (Feb 27).

The Facebook co-founder wore the black Alternative brand hoodie on numerous occasions during 2010. It was the year that saw the release of The Social Network and Zuckerberg’s cover story in Time magazine as "Person of The Year."

Selling for $15,875, over fifteen times its original estimate of $1,000, the garment is accompanied by a handwritten note from Zuckerberg on Meta stationery, reading: "One of my favorite old-school Facebook hoodies. I wore this all the time in the early days. It even has our original mission statement on the inside lining. Enjoy! -- Mark Zuckerberg".

Also under the hammer were John F. Kennedy's pair of ivory cotton snap-fly boxer shorts. They were issued to him during his time in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he famously served as commander of the torpedo boat PT-109 in the Solomon Islands during World War II, and barely escaped death after being rammed by a Japanese destroyer.

The shorts exhibit a hand-sewn label embroidered with John's nickname, Jack Kennedy, which went for $9,100.

Also sold was one of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ signature bow ties. The green Wilkes Bashford brand bow tie with pink stripes was worn during two different photo shoots surrounding the release of the new Macintosh Computer in 1984, the 1983 International Design Conference in Aspen and at the annual Macintosh shareholder’s meeting in 1984. It sold for $35,750, thirty-five times its estimate of $1,000.
