A converted three-bedroom chapel has been listed for sale but with a slight catch - it comes with its own graveyard.

The unique property in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, is being sold online by Trend & Thomas - and those who aren't afraid of ghosts can snag the almost 200-year-old property with an asking price of $1,167,255.

Photos of the 1,743sq ft property show off the former chapel in all its glory - showcasing the stunning mix of both old and new

Originally built - and opened - in 1856, the Victorian structure offers unique features, including vaulted ceilings, the original stained-glass windows and bell, and a front garden flooded with over 50 headstones.

The listing of the former chapel describes an "extremely spacious 35' reception room and kitchen offering plenty of light through clerestory and stained-glass windows".

The first-floor bedroom has "stunning balustraded views of the stained-glass windows overlooking the sides of the property, its own bath, and access to the mezzanine floor above".

Despite the property's eerie front view - not for the faint-hearted - the interior brings a spectacle of color and vibrancy with its extravagant decor and pattern-tiled flooring.

Now sold for private residence, the chapel has been modified with "plenty of storage" and "underfloor heating" - and it is conveniently located within easy reach of Rickmansworth Town Centre and Chorleywood with their wealth of amenities to include shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.

A spokesperson for Trend & Thomas said: " It's an amazing conversion and a stunning building.

"It has an actual churchyard, which may seem weird, but the neighbors are very quiet!

"People who come to view the property love it - and find it quite astonishing.

"But there are a few who get spooked by the sight of headstones and its long history."

The agency is asking for $1,167,255 on the unique home since its listing in January of this year.
