Heroic boy saves calf from creek

This is the moment a nine-year-old boy saved a calf stranded in a creek.

Wyatt Ban was heading home with his mom Morgan Ban, 31, after getting breakfast on Tuesday, April 22, when he saw the mother cow running frantically near Eminence, Indiana.

Despite Morgan initially brushing it off, Wyatt begged her to turn around—convinced something was wrong.

Morgan said: “I didn’t think anything of it at first, but he was so upset and kept saying we had to go back. So I turned around and pulled off by a bridge.”

Wyatt told her to stay in the car and said he could fit through the fence.

He then walked along State Road 42, slipped through the barbed wire and into the pasture.

As he approached the cow, he realized her baby was stuck down in the creek.

Morgan said: “He made sure the momma was out of the way, then gently pushed the calf up and out of the water.

"The baby and momma were happily reunited

“It was incredible—he knew just what to do.”
