Fox cubs captured playing in the wild
The cubs were tugging at each other’s tails in playful scraps.
By Dean Murray
Adorable pictures show fox cubs play-fighting.
Photographer Stuart Benson captured the cute scenes - including a harmless tail bite - on the island of Anglesey, off the coast of Wales, this month.
He explains: "With a combination of good planning and good luck, I was perfectly positioned to take advantage of the glorious early evening light as the four fox clubs played - and fought - with each other outside their den.
"As the evening light dipped, the cubs became more energetic — chasing, wrestling, biting and even tugging at each other’s tails in playful scraps.
"One cheeky cub in particular couldn’t resist sneaking up behind its sibling and nipping at its tail, sparking a mock chase around the gorse bushes."
