California using ‘fire goats’ to prevent future wildfires

Officials in California are using special 'fire goats' to eat the grassland to help reduce vegetation that could fuel future wildfires.
A video filmed in Oakland on Tuesday (June 10) shows dozens of goats eating away at dry grass, effectively reducing wildfire risk.
The goats spent the day grazing on grassland that could have otherwise served as easy fodder for a blaze.
After California's devastating wildfires in recent years, this preventative measure is part of an ongoing effort to mitigate the spread of future fires.
The Oakland Zoo, which posted the video, described the goats as “nature’s lawn mowers”.
