A father was left in shock when his young son began throwing perfect spirals with his toy American football.

Jeff Tavani, 35, was throwing ball with his son Giancarlo Tavani, one, in their living room when the tot threw consecutive perfect spirals with his kid-sized football.

The sweet moment, caught on Jeff's home Ring camera, followed months of practice starting from when Giancarlo, or Gio as he's known, was six months old.

Jeff, an assistant director based in Scottsdale, Ariz., said: "I was so proud of how well he was throwing the ball and happy to see that he has learned a skill so fast.

"The way he was throwing spirals and looking for the laces to properly throw the ball to me was so awesome.

"He replicates these skills every day and loves to play ball.

"He gets better every time!"

Jeff has been playing ball with Gio almost since the day he was born.

The love for sport goes beyond American football with Gio trying out his skills at basketball, baseball and golf as well.

Jeff said: "My wife and I got him a ball pit when he was just a newborn and I started rolling balls to him as soon as he could sit up.

"We got him a football, basketball with a hoop, baseball with a glove and tee, as well as a set of golf clubs all when he turned one.

"His first interest was golf and hitting the ball outside.

"It has now developed into hitting baseballs off the tee and throwing his football with precision!

"He also loves playing basketball at home on his little hoop and will even grab the adult basketballs at the gym and try to play with anyone on the court.

"He literally wants to throw a ball at all hours of the day."
