The Sun appears to smile in hilarious cosmic pictures.
A science spaceship captured the quirky grin earlier this month, and what looked like two eyes.
The star's activity was observed by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) on June 6.
The vast dark spot forming a mouth-like shape is actually a coronal hole that could be as wide as 800,000 km
These regions are where the Sun's magnetic field lines open out into space, allowing solar wind to escape more easily.
